In preparation for the game in the evening the players competed in some small sided games in the morning, before resting and re-capping on all of the information given in day one and two.
After lunch, the players were given two set pieces to work on in which they would try to emulate in the game before spending some down time refuelling.
The first game of the Pro Youth Experience was against Fife Elite. With the squad applying the Costa Rica 3-4-3 style, they saw themselves one goal down in the first half after a break down whilst building possession low between the goal keeper and defensive three.
The second half proved much more productive with the half time team talk highlighting the width of the full backs and retaining possession centrally for longer periods. With a break of play, a long pass down of the side of the pitch saw AM Soccer Club striker Billy Murray break forward and set the ball in to the box for Chargers Soccer Club player Dominick Phanco to dispatch in to the net.
Late on, some fantastic build up play centrally allowed space to release the full backs forward and for Utah Surf Soccer Club midfielder Nic Saunders to bundle home the winning goal.
Pro Youth Experience 2018 sponsor 'Airlie Green Low Energy Homes' Man of the Match, was Nic Saunders of Utah Surf Soccer.
