After receiving kit and their daily physical well-being work sheet, the morning consisted of a relaxed session where the players got the opportunity to get to know each other on the pitch and learn about the basics of Costa Rica’s 3-4-3 team shape. In between lunch and session two, the coaches highlighted hydrational and nutritional advice so performances can be maximised and injuries can be prevented.
The afternoon took more focus on the attacking principles used in the Costa Rica setup, with passing patterns and waves of attack towards the goal working closely on the partnership between key players.
A fantastic first day with plenty of talent on show from all players. Tomorrow will provide more focus and attention to detail in tomorrow’s double session.
