So much so that American and Scottish
newspapers ran stories about the boys' experiences of international
competition, professional coaching and cultural education. With MacPhee's
extensive contacts within the game at all levels, AMsportstours has
moved from strength to strength.
After America , where he captained UNCW at Division
1 College Level for 4 years, MacPhee spent 3 years playing professionally
in Romania and Japan. This furthered his international soccer education
both as a young professional and coach, as he witnessed various coaching
and player development styles around the globe. 4 knee operations
eventually led him to retire from playing and he moved into coaching
and recruiting. He has now returned to Scotland and coaches youth
players in the Premier League at Falkirk
Football Club.

AMsportstours works on a firm structure of train-game-train-game.
Competitive play, training and rest are equally important to player
development. We ensure that the teams play a competitive game every
second day and train with our professional coaches on their days
off. These days are vital for recovery and development. The coaches
can highlight technical and tactical points, based on the competitive
play. The players also watch live Premier League games, go sightseeing
and have time to have a laugh and relax. The only exception we make
is if teams bring a big squad of players. We understand everyone
wants to play.
