Austin MacPhee - Director

   

Austin has had a colourful professional career spending time in Scotland, USA, Romania and Japan. He returned to Scotland after 8 years abroad when his career was ended through knee injury. In his first season as a Head Coach (2006/2007) he led Cupar Hearts to their most successful season in their 117-year history, winning the Fife Cup and reaching the Scottish Cup Final - becoming the youngest ever Head Coach to lead a team out in a National Final at Hampden Park. He resigned to take up a position at Cowdenbeath Football Club in the Scottish Football League. He has passed the coveted UEFA Licence working along side candidates such as Alan Shearer and also completed the SFA Youth Award. Through his company’s partnership with Falkirk Football Club (Scottish Premier League) he is in charge of International Development and is Director of Football at the University of St. Andrews. Austin recently won the Fife Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award with his company AMsportstours/AMsoccerschools being nominated as one of only six out of 700 businesses to go forward to the Scottish National Final. Austin has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington (USA) and passed the Japanese Language test at Meijo University in Nagoya (Japan).

Stevie Gilfillan – General Manager

  

Stevie studied Sport and Exercise Science at Grimsby College and has worked as a football coach for many years. Stevie was a youth professional with Notts County FC from the age of 13 - 15 before playing semi-professional football in England. Stevie specialises in the development of speed and agility of young players and is the General Manager of AMsoccerschools.

 

Gary Reilly - Operations Manager

    

Gary studied Sports Coaching with Development at Elmwood College in Cupar. Gary was part of the Fife select regional squad as a youth player and was a member of the Cupar Hearts team who won the Fife Cup and the League Championship in 2008. Gary has been coaching with AMsoccerschools since 2007 and works with the younger players to develop their technique and creativity. He is the Operations Manager of AMsoccerschools.

 

Lindsay Sharp Soccer Schools Manager

  

Lindsay studied Sports Coaching at College in Dundee and now works full time with AMsoccerschools. He specialises in the motor skills related to football development of 3-6 year-olds. In the 2006/2007 season, Lindsay won the Fife Cup with Cupar Hearts and played in the Scottish Amateur Cup Final at Hampden Park when his hometown team reached the final for the first time in 50 years. Lindsay has also assisted FC Barcelona when they used the University of St. Andrews sports facilities as their training base in 2007 and 2008. He has been instrumental in the progression of AMsoccerschools and has been coaching with them since they started.
